ABOUT TIM
Unleash was introduced to Tim through Steve Randall, from Team Unleash. Tim paddled with Steve in the Avon Decent this year in the K2 division. Both Tim and Steve are heading off to South Africa to compete in the Fish River Marathon. Tim's focus is Downwind Ocean Racing, Flatwater Marathons and Whitewater Marathons. Unleash has brought Tim on board because of his immense love for paddling and competing. At 61 Tim is not affraid to take on challenges that most his age would hide form and teaming up with Steve, who is 22 years his junior shows that he still has what it takes.We're looking forward to supporting Tim in his upcoming quests.
This summer will see the Fenn Cup Downwind Series back again even bigger and better. Held on Sydney's Northern Beaches together with Long Reef Surf Life Saving Club the Fenn Cup Series will be held over 3 weekends.

All races are downwind and will range between 9.5 and 18 kilometers. Each event will either start or finish at Long Reef depending on the days conditions. With an afternoon start the events are certain to have good following seas making for exciting offshore racing.

The Fish Marathon is a legendary race in South Africa and over the years i have heard of rapids that swallow K2 boats and when they spit them out, that is if they decide to, the paddlers get a little reality check. That is if they can remember where they are!!
The 20 beaches is a 25km downwind Ocean Series race that goes from either Shelley beach to Palm beach depending on the wind. it is an great event an attracts some of the best paddlers in NSW.
